Privacy Policy
This policy covers the qbito.app website. Habit Tracker by Qbito, our Android app, has its own policy at habit-tracker.qbito.app/privacy-policy/.
No cookies, nothing stored on your device
We measure website traffic without cookies, local storage or session storage. Nothing is written to your device and nothing is read from it, which is also why you do not see a consent banner here.
How visits are counted
Instead of a permanent identifier, our server derives a daily code from your IP address, your browser's user agent and the current date, using a secret key. The code lets us count how many people visited today and group requests into a single visit. It changes every day, so it cannot be used to recognise you tomorrow. Your IP address is not kept in the analytics records.
What we record
- page address and title, and the website you arrived from;
- campaign parameters contained in the link you followed;
- approximate country, taken from network headers;
- browser, operating system, device type, screen size, language, colour scheme;
- how far you scrolled, clicks on outbound links and download buttons;
- page loading speed.
Download links
When you tap a download button we generate a random click identifier and pass it to Google Play inside the link, so we can tell which page led to an install. It is not stored on your device.
Legal basis and your choices
We process this data on the basis of our legitimate interest in understanding how the website is used (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). If your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, we collect nothing at all.
